Q. What inspired you to become a Mortgage Broker?
A. After 20 years since purchasing my first home and twelve years owning an investment property in Auckland, seeing the long term benefits and growth these assets have achieved. To help assist families with a mortgage to own their first home or property portfolio was my inspiration to join the team at The Mortgage Lab.
Q. What is the best part of being a Mortgage Broker?
A. Variety in each day, from Client meetings to webinars, yet flexibility to make it to my sons’ football practice/games and other events like training days (CPD) and business networking expos.
Q. What have you found to be the most challenging aspect?
A. Initially it was finding clients who could past banks servicing then to the changes in bank’s risk appetite due to and past COVID-19.
Q. What is your most memorable client experience?
A. My first client was being overcharged LEM (Low Equity Margin), after refinancing her managed to save her over $16K – Super Win.
Q. How would you sum up being a Mortgage Broker in three words?
A. Client Focused Advice.
Q. If you were Prime Minister for one day, what would you do?
A. Abolish Low Equity Margins (Poor Tax) and introduce their low equity payments directly into customers principle (Equity) and not into the bank’s profit.
Q. If you could have dinner with any three people (alive or dead), who would it be?
A. Elon Musk and my Two Sons, inspiration moment.

A. Either with Real Estate as an agent/bank finance or helping people being a Life Coach.
