About Bryony
Q. What inspired you to become a Mortgage Broker?
A. Whilst selling real estate I liaised between clients and mortgage brokers, I envisioned us as a ‘property team’ that worked together, and watching the mortgage advice process really shifted the career goal post for me; this is what inspired me to be here today.
Q. What is the best part of being a Mortgage Broker?
A. Working with a diverse range of individuals, helping people towards their goals; especially when their bank says ‘no’, and the analytical challenge; business or residential.
Q. What have you found to be the most challenging aspect?
A. Maintaining work life balance, I immerse myself into getting the job done. The challenge is allowing time for that breathing space in between.
Q. What is your most memorable client experience?
A. Guiding clients through what seemed impossible odds, and then seeing their home ownership dream become a reality.
Q. How would you sum up being a Mortgage Broker in three words?
A. Astute listeners, motivational and analytical.
Q. If you were Prime Minister for one day, what would you do?
A. Strive for normality.
Q. If you could have dinner with any three people (alive or dead), who would it be?
A. 3 is not enough so I am pushing the boundaries on this question! Mom who always inspired compassion and kindness (although she now has alzheimers I am happy at the thought of just sitting in our ‘unspoken silence’), her presence is gold, dad who inspired me to follow my heart and dreams (once here now gone but forever an influence in my life’s direction), my children, partner and grandmothers – ‘sante’.
Q. Complete this sentence: If I Wasn’t in Mortgage Broking, I would be…
A. ‘Snowbirding’ to Costa Rica and Canada, exploring, photographing and writing while in our New Zealand summers – goals are what drive us!
Questions aside, combining years of experience with information technology, real estate, education and agile business systems has rounded me into the financial advisor I am today. Now focusing on Mortgage and KiwiSaver advice, and taking perspective on our New Zealand economy and housing market, enables me to provide ongoing and confident advice to my clients where my expertise is your gain.
